Welcome to the Public Works Department Malaysia website.

PWD Malaysia has been in existence since 1872. We have a section on our history if you like to know about our past.

PWD is a large department with staff that comes from many disciplines - civil engineering, architecture, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and quantity surveyor. See our organization setup that details our profile , organization chart , and our history .

In order to operate efficiently, PWD is organized into three major levels:

• PWD Headquarters
• State PWDs
• Special Units

At headquarters level, there are three business sectors to support our core business activities. There are 14 branches to support the sectors. Below are the sectors and their branches:
