FINAL EVALUATION OF THE JKR BIM AWARDS 2023

The final evaluation for the JKR BIM Awards 2023 was held on October 24, 2023, at the Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia Headquarters, Menara Kerja Raya, to determine the winners who will receive awards during the JKR BIM Day 2023 scheduled for October 25, 2023. Introduced in 2021, these awards are one of the department's initiatives to recognize the expertise, knowledge, and skills of JKR officials, industry players, and academic members in the field of Building Information Modelling (BIM). Furthermore, it is also an acknowledgment of project team members who collaborate and show team commitment in successfully implementing BIM. The award categories contested include Best BIM Project, Best BIM Individual, Best BIM Model, and Best BIM Study (Refer to the attachment for categories and list of winners). A total of 63 entries from all categories were received between August and October 2023. All participants displayed dedication and their best efforts, particularly during the presentation sessions in front of the panel comprising JKR officials, industry players, and higher education institution lecturers. It is hoped that this program will inspire industry players to continually enhance their BIM competency and generate interest among students to engage in the field of BIM technology.
