YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Works conducted a working visit to the site of the Bridge Upgrade Project FT001/724/5 Across the Kerian River and the Construction of the Viaduct Across the Intersection of Federal Road to Transkrian Road FT001/FT283, Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang.
Also present is YBhg. Dato' Wira Wan Ahmad Uzir bin Hj Wan Sulaiman, Secretary General of the Ministry of Works, YBhg. Dato' Ir. Ahmad Redza Bin Ghulam Rasool, Director General of Works, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Works (Policy & Development Sector), Director of JKR Penang, Director of PIPC, Special Project Unit, HOPT, Consultants and appointed contractors.
Among the matters discussed at this work visit session are the current status of the project, planning and the contractor's commitment to ensure that the project is completed according to the schedule. The project site possession date is 8 July 2021 and is expected to be fully completed on 2 February 2025.
