Technical Executive Talk No. 1/2018 (TExT 1/2018) was held on 6 February 2018 at Anggerik Hall, JKR Selangor. The program was organised by Integrated Asset Planning (CPAB), Public Works Department Malaysia and ProJKRM, supported by JKR Negeri Selangor. It was officiated by Deputy Director General of Works (Building Sector), YBrs. Ir. Kamaluddin bin Hj. Abdul Rashid.

Themed 'Knowledge: Key to Continuous Improvement', TExT 1/2018 is aimed at providing knowledge-sharing platforms and experiences on the implementation of Knowledge Management initiatives in the organisation. This event was attended by participants from public sector agencies other than JKR members themselves. The TExT 1/2018 program was initiated by YBhg. Datuk Ir. Ruslan bin Abdul Aziz, Director of the Selangor State Government Department to the Selangor State Department Headquarters Complex which has just been occupied from 2 January 2018 and followed by a welcome speech by YBrs. Ir. Dr. Che Hassandi bin Abdullah, Senior Director of CREaTe. The opening speech was presented by the Deputy Director General of Works (Building Sector), YBrs. Ir. Kamaluddin bin Hj. Abdul Rashid represented the Director-General of Public Works, YBhg. Dato 'Sri Ir. Dr. Roslan bin Md. Taha.

The ceremony continued with a Certified Knowledge Manager accreditation session to 13 participants from JKR, National Sports Institute, INCEIF and Sunway University which successfully completed the accreditation program from the Knowledge Management Institute, United States of America. Next the honorary guest was taken to the newly commissioned Certified Knowledge Manager's desk to hear extended information about the ongoing Knowledge Management initiative project in their respective organisations.

A total of two presentation papers were presented by invited speakers: Mobile Learning Apps by Mr Maik Fuellmann, CEO, Quizz Bizz and Managing Knowledge for Continuous Improvement by Dr. Sanath Sukumaran, Head, Knoco Malaysia.
