BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING TRAINING PROGRAM (BIM) FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND POLYTECHNIC LECTURERS

The Ministry of Higher Education through Sultan Iskandar Institute, UTMKL has sent ten (10) Lecturers from the selected Community Colleges and Polytechnics to participate in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) Training Program, held on 22nd to 26th January 2018 at BIM Unit, Complex Project Management Division, Integrated Asset Planning Branch, JKR Malaysia.

This program is part of the Advanced Diploma / Professional Certificate Award in BIM to the lecturers involved, which is one of the government’s initiatives in the effort to expand the BIM knowledge field in higher education.

It is hoped that the lecturers involved in the program will be able to channel the knowledge gained to the students and then realising the government's desire to provide an early education on the latest construction technology in higher education.

In addition, the program can indirectly enhance the image of JKR as a technical agency and reference body in the implementation of BIM at the national level.
