Objectives

• To provide federal roads and bridge infrastructure as national land scheme to congregate the growing needs of the country.
• To organize the construction and repair of village roads to ensure that deveploment area well connected.
• To ensure federal roads and existing bridges accessible well maintained, repaired and upgraded for safer use.

Functions

• Fully responsible for the successful implementation of development projects from the planning stage to the project submission stage by ensuring the projects meets the cost, quality and time set for the Ministry based on three (3) main stage:

           i) Stage Planning

           ii) Monitoring Planning

           iii)  Control Planning

• To manage the construction of projects where the Project Director of the Projects is Deputy Director General of Public Infrastructure or Director of the Road.
• Manage and make allocation of development  to state PWD.
• Fully responsible for the successful implementation of the Road Safety Program including motor lanes, bridges and hazardous areas.
• Fully responsible for the success of the program to replace the bridge on the Federal route.
• Develop, manage and maintain a project management system at the Street Branch.
• Managing, coordinating and manipulate the implementation of SPK Quality MS ISO 9001: 2008, SPAS MS ISO 14001: 2004, SPKKP OHSAS 18001: 2007 and SPT ISO 50001: 2011 at Road Branch.
• Manage and control the allocation ''Belanja Mengurus" activities.
