Friday, 22nd September 2023 - Handing over ceremony for the Bridge Replacement Project Involving Axle Load, Narrow and Deterioration took place at FT001/286/80 Sg. Layang, Negeri Sembilan which was held at the Sungai Layang project site, Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.
This brief ceremony was attended by Director of Public Works Department Negeri Sembilan, Road Authority Civil Engineer, Chief State Electrical Engineer, Kuala Pilah District Engineer, Tampin District Engineer, Jelebu District Engineer, representatives of Road Branch HOPT, Malaysian JKR Headquarters and local representatives Imam of Masjid Kariah Kampung Batu.
This bridge replacement project cost RM8,155,155.50 kicked off on 15 December 2020 and fully completed on 25 June 2023. The replacement of narrow and dilapidated bridge is one of the programs under the Ministry of Works Malaysia in the government's efforts to increase the weight limit of commercial vehicles in line with the transport industry demand.
The handing over signing ceremony was completed in front of Director of Public Works Department Negeri Sembilan Ir Wan Hasnan Bin Wan Musa where Rembau District Engineer Ir. Ahmad Faiz Bin A. Raup represent implementing agency PWD while the project was handed over to Mrs. Siti Atifah binti Zawawi as a representative from the Development and Privatization Division, Ministry of Works Malaysia.
Appreciation to contractor Bina Perkasa Trading for successfully completing and handed over the project in a 7-in-1 row, namely Certificate of Completion (CPC), As-Build Drawings, Statement of Final Account (SOFA), Introduction of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in project, Zero Casualty & Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI), Compliance in Traffic Management Plan and lastly Compliance in Environmental Management Plan (EMP). During the construction of this project, the contractor has taken their own initiative by implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) as an effort to further simplify the construction sequence on site.
Congratulations to JKR Rembau Road Division who have worked tirelessly since the beginning of the project until successfully handed over to the client. May all the effort and sweat poured into the completion of this project become shares in the afterlife, InsyaAllah.
