NATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH AWARD 2022, PUBLIC CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) CATEGORY

Congratulations to YBhg. Datuk Ir. Ahmad Redza Bin Ghulam Rasool, Director General of JKR, for being shortlisted as a candidate for the National Occupational Safety and Health Award 2022 in the Public Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Category. This award gives the highest recognition to individuals holding the highest positions and having an excellent record in occupational safety and health at the organizational, national, and international levels.

The selection is based on the performance of the JKR Malaysia in implementing occupational safety and health practices in his position. The assessment session was conducted on September 26, 2023, by a panel from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) led by YBrs. Tuan Bahrudin Bin Mamat, who is also the Deputy Director General (Occupational Safety). Other panel members present were Ir. Zamzurin Bin Maarof, Director of DOSH Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, and Ir. Mohamed Haffis bin Mohossain Molla representing the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH). Additionally, YBhg. Ir. Ts. Dato’ Hj. Masri bin Baharuddin and Ir. Hj. Abdul Rani bin Harun accompanied YBhg. Datuk KPKR during the assessment session.

We hope that both categories nominated to the final stage by NCOSH, namely the National Occupational Safety and Health Award for the Public Service and Statutory Bodies category, as well as the Public Chief Executive Officer (CEO) category, will be victorious. The achievements we have attained so far will continuously ignite the spirit and inspiration among the JKR community to promote occupational safety and health (OSH) in the workplace, be it within premises or construction sites, at the highest level in line with the concept of sustainable development in Malaysia today.
