2023 JKR & Trimble BIM and IBS Showcase was held on 12 January 2023 at Dewan Tan Sri Mahfoz, JKR Malaysia through collaboration between Trimble Solution Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Integrated Asset Planning Branch and Civil and Structural Engineering Branch JKR.
A total of 200 participants have attended this program, consisting of JKR officers and construction industry players. This program was also attended and witnessed by YBrs. Mr. Amran bin Hj. Mohd Majid (Deputy Director General of Works, Specialist Sector), YBhg. Dato' Ir. Zulkipli bin Hj. Nasri (Senior Director of the Integrated Asset Planning Branch - carrying out the duties of the Deputy Director General of Works, Infra Sector), YBrs. Ir. Hajjah Atikah binti Zakaria @ Ya (Director of Complex Project Management Division, Integrated Asset Planning Branch), YBrs. Ir. Noreha binti Nordin (Director of Expert and Management Services, Civil and Structural Engineering Branch), YBrs. Ir. Mhd Khair bin Nordin (Director of Design Services, Civil and Structural Engineering Branch) and YBrs. Ir Waznah binti Abdul Aziz (Director of Transportation Infrastructure Engineering Branch).
The program started with a welcome speech from YBrs. Sr. Amran bin Hj. Mohd Majid, Deputy Director General of Works (Specialist Sector). A total of 8 presentation sessions were delivered by industry representatives and JKR officials covering topics related to the integration of the Industrialized Building System (IBS) and new emerging technologies, particularly Building Information Modeling (BIM). In addition to knowledge sharing, the presenters also shared experience in the implementation of IBS and BIM projects as well as current studies and research.
