DELEGATION VISIT from FAKULTI KEJURUTERAAN AWAM DAN ALAM SEKITAR (FKAAS), UNIVERSITI TUN HUSSEIN ONN MALAYSIA

2.30 pm on Thursday, 18 February 2016, Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia (JKR) received a visit from 8 delegation of Deputy Dean and Head of Department from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). The meeting was led by YBhg Datuk Ir Hj Adanan Mohamed Hussain; Director of Kerja Raya Malaysia itself, Dato’ Ir. Dr. Roslan b Md Taha, TKPKR (Infra sector), Dato’ Ir. Dr. Hasnul Bin Mohamad Salleh, TKPKR (Building sector) and other officers from several branch.

 

The objective of the visit is to discuss on certain suggestion from UTHM in order to find a ‘win-win’ solution with the cooperation within two parties; Malaysia High Education Center and Government Technical Agency.

 

There are several issues been discussed such as the opportunity for placement UTHM’s academic staff at JKR to fulfill the requirement to become a Professional Engineer, person in charge within two parties, research collaboration, an opportunities for JKR staff to get the assess on UTHM references and also professional perspective on how to find a technical solution happen within two parties.

 

The visit brought a bright opportunities and wider space to enhance the worth collaboration within Malaysia High Education Center and JKR as a platform for more government projects, facilities management and government technical consultant.

Hence, this is the early discussion and hope that this collaboration could be proceed.
