THIRD DAY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS MEETING 2015

The programme of third day and closing civil engineer meeting began with a presentation of Civil Achievement Business Plan 2016-2018 by KPPK of Civil Air Base and Maritime Branch, Ir. Mohamed Amin bin Kasim. He describes the objecives, initiatives and results of the Civil Business Plan 2016-2018 by the branch. He also explained the role and scope of work of the Division of Land, Air Base and Maritime Branch.

Ceremony proceeded with the presentation of the Civil Business Plan 2016-2018, which is the last of which is set out by the Road Branch presented by Director of Road Branch, Ir. Ab Manan bin Embong. He explained the ways of implementation, improvement and innovation that has been implemented by the Road Branch. He is also expecting about 75 civil engineers will get a Competency certification until 2018. He also asked officiers at the state and local to jointly promote the road competence.

The ceremony further to the presentation of the Summary of Result Development Plan Civil Business Plan 2016-2018, which was presented by Ir. Wan Hasnan bin Wan Musa. He summed up that until year of 2018 by 60 percent of Civil Engineer will be certified as competent in all areas of expertise. He also stressed that each branch and department need to focus on the post of Assistant Engineer who has a degree, J41 and J44 Officer to get the certification of competency for realizing the target of 60% Civil Engineer who has competency certification in 2018. He also suggested that each branch to promote their respective certification actively through Facebook and other social platform.

The ceremony breaks at 10.00 a.m and continued back at 10.15 a.m with Town Hall Session with Deputy Director General of JKR (Sector Infra), Dato’ Ir. Dr. Roslan bin Md Taha; Director of Air Base and Maritime Branch, Dato’ Dr. Meor Abd Aziz bin Osman; Director of Civil and Structural Engineering Branch, Ir. Norma binti Norman; KPPK of Integrated Asset Planning Branch, Ir. Hj. Roslan bin Abd Ghani and also KPPK of Policy and Corporate Management Branch, Ir. Hj. Hashim bin Buyu.

This meeting ended with Closing Speech by Deputy Director General of Public Works (Infra Sector), Ybhg. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Roslan Md Taha.
