WRITING CONTEST “JKR MIND EXPRESSION”

Assalamualaikum WBT dan salam sejahtera,

1. Please be informed that the Library Unit, Corporate and Communication Department (BKK) and Policy & Corporate Management Branch held Writing Contest “JKR Mind Expression @ 2015” in conjunction with the Mind Persada @ JKR Programme which will be held on 20 & 21 October 2015 (Tuesday & Wednesday) located in Tan Sri Mahfoz Khalid Hall, Kementerian Kerja Raya.

2. Accordingly, we welcome the participation from of all JKR staff to participate in this competition that began on October 2, 2015 (Friday) until October 20, 2015 (Tuesday).

Below are Competition Entry Conditions:

1. Open to all JKR staff

2. There is no entry limit for participation per individual.

3. Participation in writing using Malay language

4. The length of the writing should be between 100-200 words

5. The work of plagiarism, plagiarism or direct translation will not be accepted

6. Writing shall stimulate the mind, generating creativity and contribute to the excellence of JKR

7. Participation must be submitted in Microsoft Word, font Arial (12)

3. The writing should be in the JKR context in terms of management, productivity, leadership direction, culture, values and welfare of JKR staff.

The followings are examples of topics as a guide for writing:

1. Connect the different disciplines of JKR

2. The shift work culture department

3. Observing the wishes and needs of customers

4. Development of a JKR competence

5. The power of a positive mind in addressing the challenges of working

6. Make use of social media in the official journal

Authors are free to write on any topic related to JKR as long as not affecting the sensitivity of issues of race, religion and culture.

4. The closing date for entries is October 20, 2015 (Tuesday) at 4.30 pm. Participations must be submitted via this email (jkrlib [at] jkr.gov.my ( (link sends e-mail))) and attachmentd writing. All results will be posted on out writing ekspresimindajkr.wordpress.com blog.

Three (3) best participations will receive a prize which will be presented at the closing Mind Persada @ JKR 2015 on October 21, 2015 (Wednesday).
